Wow, have you ever been to Wardle Park? It has an AMAZING Splash Pad and TONS of other FUN THINGS for your FAMILY!

Besides this being a great splash park, it has zip lines, a 25-foot tall watch tower with humungous slides, climbing and bouldering walls, swings, basketball courts, new pickleball courts with lights, and more!!

Everything is clean and kept up! They have incredible amenities too, including public bathrooms and three large pavilions (one is a little smaller for a family or private group setting!) I could go on and on about this park! This is a MUST on the summer bucket list for the family!

Who is the park for?

park with slideThis park is family friendly and suited for any age! Every child can be entertained. Babies who enjoy water will love the splash pads (which are mild and safe, yet fun for any age.) They have a section that is for 2 – 5-year-olds with little slides, teeter-totters, a playhouse, and a nearby sandbox!

kids playing at a parkToddlers to teenagers can enjoy the splash park, the huge fire watch tower that is 25 feet tall with 3 big slides to go down. (Little tip / Warning… if you want to go fast down the slides bring a bottle of water and pour on it at the top of the slide; Some kid did it in front of me and we both flew down the slide. Super fun!!)

Parents and adults can cool their feet off without getting splashed in the water splash pad section. Of course, the pickleball courts is where many adults and teenagers hang out during the day and night! While we were there many families brought pop-up tents, umbrellas, or camped out at one of the three pavilions. This is a great place for grandparents to grandkids and everyone in between!

What to bring?

family under a pop up beach tentIf you plan on staying a few hours, which is very easy to do, you should plan on bringing a blanket or a pop-up cabana tent… something like this.

This will help block out the sun when you want a break and allow you to hang out and watch your kids play in the splash pad. We have one of these quick pop up cabanas and it literally takes 2 minutes to setup and two minutes to take down! After doing a little research this would be a good one to buy 🙂 Lightspeed Outdoors Quick Cabana Beach Tent Sun Shelter

It is a good idea to bring sunscreen, snacks, and something to drink. Although they do have four water drinking fountains! If you want to play any pickleball or basketball you have to bring your own balls and equipment. They do NOT sell or rent any equipment.
