5-Tips for Creating Family Photo Books

1. Only upload photos you want in the book.

The uploading photo process is simple with Mixbook. What I like to do is basically airdrop all photos from my iPhone (this is where I take a majority of my photos) or you can transfer them to a folder on your desktop. Then, I create a folder with the caption “photos 2018.” Doing this allows me to be able to click the “upload photos” on Mixbook, select the folder I have created, and immediately they begin to download or you can just do drag and drop. I have found it easier to load about 15-20 at a time. I like to upload my photos month by month.

2. Pictures Organized by Month

Another feature that I love about the Mixbook is that right after you download your photos they are immediately categorized by months. On the left side of the screen you will see the months and underneath each of the pictures are arranged in chronological order. Mixbook allows you to create your photo book chronologically and with perfect ease.

3. Choose Number of Pictures

Next, I like to drag the pictures onto each page. Go over to the “layout” and choose exactly how many pictures you chose. By picking one of the photo layouts it will automatically design an entire page that is perfectly styled and organized. There are many various numbers and options within each number of pictures, allowing you to have a lot of options, creating a variety of looks on every page.

4. Automatic Load – (The Biggest Time Saver!!!)

You only have ONE chance to do it… It pops up on your screen on right at the beginning. This is an easy option if you are good at filtering out your photos before you load them. By automatic loading (you can opt out of this if wanted) your photos will just load onto every page for you and all are in chronological order. This is definitely a time saver if you do not want to spend the time loading in each photo page by page.

5. Final Tip!

One of my favorite things about Mixbook that differs from a lot of the other photo books out there are the styles you can choose from. They have modern, fresh, traditional, floral, plain white and so many other options of designs that cater to any style of book that you want to create. Within each style of a Mixbook, there are way more options of fonts, stickers to embellish the pages (like it’s a modern-day scrapbook) and even pages that are already designed that are designated with the theme of book you choose.
